Susie Seay, APRN, PMHNP

As humans, we all have the ability to overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives. Carl Jung once stated, "I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become." As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner I provide psychiatric support in a safe and empathetic environment where concerns are heard and understood. I work with clients to identify goals in order to create actionable steps towards growth and healing, and together we develop a tailored client-centered comprehensive plan that works towards meeting these goals.

I see individuals 12 years of age and older and have experience working in outpatient private practice and in adolescent residential treatment. My practice areas of special interest include ADHD, perinatal mental health, treatment resistant depression, and substance use disorders.

I have a great love for teaching and research and continue to engage with academia. I have taught as a Clinical Instructor with the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing and regularly serve as a preceptor for graduate nursing students. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.
